Southwest Firearms Inc., Firearms Safety and Basic Handgun training course is geared to provide students with the knowledge, skills and mindset necessary for owning and using a handgun safely. Through this course, the student will learn gun safety, handgun design, operation, types of ammunition, pistol shooting fundamentals and skills. Basic handgun course will prepare the student for additional advanced training. .

These classes provide the general public the opportunity to receive the same high quality firearms training as city, county, state and federal agencies. Classes emphasize civilian self-defense situations. Self-defense tactics and survival shooting skills are taught.
